This state-of-the-art bag is the result of Lucent Technologies Bell Labs research into electrostatic discharge and corrosion in the deterioration of electronic equipment. The end productwas this unique material that is permanently static dissipative and offers corrosion protection for ferrous and non-ferrous metals and galvanic coupling. In simpler terms, this means that you can store items in this bag for up to 20 years without having to worry about rusting or corrosion. Just place cleaned, lightly lubricated weapons, knives, ammo, electronics, etc. in this bag and they'll be ready for use whenever you need them. No need for heavy grease, cosmoline, or special dehumidifiers in your gun safe. Ideal for use in your boat or vehicle for short or long term storage. And there's no need to worry that the air inside the bag may contain corrosive gasses - the intercept material on the inside of the bag will neutralize them. This bag contains self-sacrificing elements that will protect the contents for about 20 years or until the bag's chocolate brown color turns to black. This is currently being tested by the U.S. military's NATIC Labs to enhance preparedness and keep down the cost of storage and maintenance of military weapons stores. Thickness: 3 mil.
